THE CRADLE OF THE RENAISSANCE
Welcome to Urbino, a true open-air museum, located in the marveillous hills where was established the ancient domain of Montefeltro, family and birthplace of the divine painter Raffaello Sanzio.
In 2020 marks the 500th anniversary of his death. It will be a unique opportunity to enter to the world of the true Italian Renaissance and learn more about its works.

FRIENDS OF URBINO"
Discovering the secrets behind the works of the greatest masters of the Renaissance, from Piero della Francesca to Raffaello, passing by Paolo Uccello to Luca della Robbia.
Discover the exhibition "Raphael and friends of Urbino" in the Palazzo Ducale spaces from October 3, 2019 to January 19, 2020, an exhibition that investigates and tells the world of Raphael's relations with a group of hard-working artists in Urbino who accompanied , in dialogue but from different positions and stature, its transition to the modern manner and its stylistic developments during the memorable Roman season.

"RAPHAEL WARE.
THE COLORS OF THE RENAISSANCE"
In this exhibition, the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche displays 147 refined examples of Italian Renaissance majolica, from the largest private collection in the world, of this kind, with the aim of focusing attention on that important moment of Italian artistic tradition.
The exhibition is housed in the bright loggia del Pasquino, with the intention of showing these refined objects in full natural light since the majolica - more than any other art form of the time - shows its colors perfectly preserved as at the origin, when it came out from the ceramist's workshop
